The State Commandant of the corps, Mr Mohammed Hassan-Agalama, disclosed this on Tuesday while briefing newsmen in Kano.

He said that two of the suspects ages 19 and 20, were arrested shortly after allegedly vandalising armoured cables worth thousands of naira at Yan Shana community in Kumbotso Local Government Area.

He said that the arrest was effected with the support of members of a local vigilante group in the area.

The commandant added that two other suspects ages 19 and 25, were also apprehended along Madaki Street in the Rano Local Government Area, for allegedly vandalising aluminium conductor cables.

He further said that operatives of the command also dismantled a burglary syndicate that had been terrorising residents of Danhassan community in Kura Local Government Area.

According to him, three suspects in the syndicate, are ages 22 and 25, and are all residents of Danhassan, Kura LGA.

He said that preliminary investigations and confessional statements revealed that no fewer than seven shops had been burgled by the suspects, with valuables belonging to residents carted away.
