Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has visited Best Choice Specialist Hospital in Kano to assess healthcare delivery and commend the management and staff for their dedication to saving lives.

Governor Yusuf made the visit on Friday night as part of his routine inspection of healthcare facilities aimed at monitoring service delivery and observing how patients are attended to, particularly during night hours.

During the visit, the governor toured different sections of the hospital and inspected patients receiving treatment. He was accompanied by the doctor on duty and other members of staff.

Yusuf observed the activities of the healthcare workers and expressed appreciation for their commitment to providing medical care to residents.

“We appreciate the dedication of the management and staff of Best Choice Specialist Hospital to providing healthcare services and saving lives,” the governor said.

He also acknowledged the contribution of private healthcare providers to the state’s healthcare system, stressing that their services complement government efforts to improve access to medical care.

According to him, collaboration between government and private healthcare operators remains essential to strengthening healthcare delivery across the state.

“Private healthcare providers have an important role to play in complementing government’s efforts to improve healthcare delivery and ensure that residents have access to quality medical services,” he said.

The governor further said his administration would continue to monitor healthcare facilities to ensure that residents receive appropriate medical attention in both public and private hospitals.

“Our concern is to ensure that our people receive the care they need, regardless of whether the facility is public or privately owned,” Yusuf said.

As a gesture of encouragement, Governor Yusuf presented a special award to the hospital staff in recognition of their service, dedication and commitment to patient care.

He thanked the management and workers for maintaining round-the-clock services and for their efforts toward saving lives.

Best Choice Specialist Hospital, located at Tal’udu Junction opposite Sheikh Al Rayyan School in Kano, provides healthcare services through qualified doctors and other medical personnel across various departments.

The governor’s visit forms part of his administration’s broader emphasis on monitoring healthcare delivery and ensuring that residents receive quality medical attention across the 44 local government areas of Kano State.
