The Kogi State Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment has joined families, schools, and communities across the state to celebrate children during the 2026 Children’s Day commemoration.
In a goodwill message, the State Project Coordinator, Ahmed Tijani Oricha, encouraged children to embrace education and make use of AGILE programmes designed to enhance learning, personal growth, and life skills.

He described children as future leaders, innovators, and changemakers, reaffirming the project’s commitment to providing quality education, safe learning spaces, and opportunities that support their success.
Oricha also urged children to remain focused, confident, and dedicated to excellence in both academics and personal development. According to him, “every child should continue believing in their dreams and strive for a brighter future”.

“The commitment of the Kogi AGILE Project to initiatives that create conducive learning environments and equip children with skills for a productive future” the coordinator said.
He wished children across Kogi State a joyful and memorable Children’s Day celebration filled with happiness and laughter.
