Trade Relations:Kano Chamber Of Commerce To Partner Turkey On Agriculture, Industry, Energy
President Bola Tinubu had visited Turkey and signed an agreement with Turkey in different areas of the economy.
“I think we see this is as an advantage for us to see how the areas they signed the agreement on will benefit our people”,  The President noted.

“We have already established relations with them before and we are going to use this opportunity to strengthen the relationship and the economic activities between us,”Darma said.

Earlier, the Turkish Ambassador said they were in Kano to meet with the representatives of KACCIMA and the Kano business community “to see the possibilities of increasing our bilateral trade as well as Turkish investment here.”Geographic Reference
We had a very successful, fruitful and result-oriented meeting. I thank you for the warm welcome to myself and my delegation,” Poroy said.

In his remarks, the Chairman of Nigerian-Turkey Business Council and the immediate past president of NACIMA,Dele Kelvin Oye, said they were in Kano as part of the business delegation and as a follow-up to President Tinubu’s visit to Turkey in January 2026, “where we were given the mandate to expand the business between both countries from the current two billion dollars to five billion dollars.”

“And we have already seen the potential of Kano as a Centre of Commerce, especially with your export potentials and how you are doing over 30 percent of the entire country’s export business.
And that is to see how we can help you to move it to 50 percent, if possible. And most importantly, we are not just here for trade, we are here for trade and investment,”Oye added.
