The member representing Bichi Federal Constituency, Hon. Abubakar Kabir Bichi, says the All Progressives Congress (APC) is targeting at least one million votes from Kano North Senatorial District for the party in the 2027 general elections.
Bichi, who chairs the House of Representatives Committee on Appropriations, made this known on Monday during a stakeholders’ meeting of the APC Campaign Council in Bichi Local Government Area of Kano State.

He said the meeting was convened to identify potential challenges ahead of the 2027 elections and develop strategies to strengthen the party’s chances across the state.
“We are not just talking about Bichi or Kano North; we are talking about the whole 44 local government areas. We are talking about the whole of Kano, and we will get what we want,” Bichi said.
According to the lawmaker, Kano North has approximately 1.3 million registered voters, with the party aiming to secure at least one million votes from the district.

He added that the APC’s target was to outperform Kano Central in vote delivery, noting that Kano North comprises 13 local government areas.
Bichi also urged residents to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC in 2027, citing what he described as development projects and government interventions under the current administration.
“We believe that APC and President Tinubu deserve our votes because he has done a lot of development projects for our people,” he said.

The meeting was attended by APC leaders and stakeholders, including Kano State Deputy Governor, Comrade Murtala Sule Garo, and former Minister of Housing, Abdullahi Tijjani Gwarzo.
The one-million-vote target represents the party’s stated ambition in Kano North ahead of the 2027 elections, although the actual outcome will depend on voter participation and the decisions of the electorate.
