The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Kano State Chapter, proudly celebrates one of its distinguished members, Hajiya Khadija Aliyu of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), on her well-deserved Michael Sidibe Award for Health Reporting, presented by the African Media Network for the Promotion of Health and Environment.

This prestigious recognition is a clear testament to Mrs Khadija Aliyu’s dedication, professionalism, and outstanding contribution to health journalism, particularly in promoting accurate, ethical, and impactful health reporting across Africa.

NAWOJ Kano State Chapter, under the leadership of the Chairperson, Sayyida Bahijja Malam Kabara, joins all Kano NAWOJians in celebrating this remarkable achievement. “We are proud that one of our own has continued to raise the bar for women journalists and project Kano State positively on the continental stage”.

The Association notes that this award will not only inspire the recipient to do more but will also motivate other female journalists to pursue excellence, especially in reporting issues that affect public health and community well-being.
