Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN) has remained the cheapest private university in Nigeria, even as it is ranked the second-best private university in the country.

The Founder of the university, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, made this known during the First Convocation Dinner organized for the Class of 2025 graduating students at the main campus on Thursday.
Prof. Gwarzo reassured parents and guardians of the university’s strong commitment to quality education and academic excellence at an affordable cost.

He also advised parents and guardians to always channel their grievances through the university management for timely resolution, rather than taking issues to social media.
Earlier, the President of the university, Prof. (Dr.) Mohammad Israr, welcomed parents, students, and invited guests, describing the event as a historic milestone for MAAUN.

The Vice President Administration, Dr. Habib Awais Abubakar, congratulated the graduating students and appreciated all those who attended the ceremony.
In his goodwill message, the Director of the European Centre for Leadership and Entrepreneurship Education, Prof. Mahamouda Salouhou, praised Prof. Gwarzo for establishing the university.

He noted that the initiative would inspire more people to invest in education and congratulated parents for choosing MAAUN, which has MoUs with leading universities in the United States.
