The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Kano State Chapter, has commended the Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, for the confirmation of Hajiya Bilkisu Shehu Mai Mota as the state’s Head of Civil Service.
Speaking at a briefing held at the association’s office in Kano, the State Chairperson of NAWOJ, Sayyadah Bahijjah Mallam Kabara, described the appointment as both timely and заслуженное, noting that it reflects the administration’s commitment to merit, professionalism, and effective governance.
Kabara said the elevation of Hajiya Bilkisu Shehu Mai Mota demonstrates confidence in the capacity and dedication of seasoned civil servants, adding that such recognition serves as motivation for public workers to remain diligent in their responsibilities.
She further emphasized the critical role of the civil service in driving government policies and ensuring continuity in administration, describing it as the “engine room of governance.”
The NAWOJ chairperson expressed optimism that the new Head of Civil Service has the requisite experience to deliver on the demands of the office and contribute meaningfully to the state’s development.
Also speaking, Hajiya Ummulkhairi urged civil servants across the state to cooperate fully with the new appointee to ensure smooth and effective service delivery.
