The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Kano State Chapter, has emphasized the need for stronger collaboration between media stakeholders to promote professionalism and peace in journalism.
The Chairperson Sayyida Bahijja Malam Kabara made the call at a One-Day Peace Summit in Kano, stressing that closer cooperation would guide young journalists and discourage misinformation.
The summit, organized by YOSPIS, AMG Foundation, and the Nigeria Police Force, brought together media professionals, academics, and community leaders to promote peace and responsible journalism.

NAWOJ Kano commended the organizers and praised the police for their engagement with the media and civil society.
The association also recognized YOSPIS CEO Zahra’u Nasir Ahmad for her leadership in empowering women and young people.
NAWOJ Kano reaffirmed its commitment to upholding ethical journalism and promoting peace.
